Town of Sullivan’s Island-

You can bookmark the town of Sullivan’s Island web site simply by clicking on
the town’s seal. Here you can read the Sullivan’s Island Historical
Preservation Ordinance as well as learn the definitions of what constitutes an
alteration to historic Sullivan’s Island homes. The Sullivan’s
Island Historical Preservation Ordinance is designed to protect approximately
two hundred and ninety historic Sullivan’s Island homes. Any exterior improvements
or modifications to
homes located on Sullivan’s Island will need prior approval from the
town of Sullivan’s Island and the Design Review Board prior to construction. On
the Sullivan’s Island website, you can also check the historic resources map to see if your Sullivan’s
Island home is showing up as a historic home. You will find the majority
of Sullivan's historic homes will be located inside the
Sullivan’s Island
Historic District, Atlanticville Historic District, and Moultrieville Historic
District boundary lines.
